The city of Birmingham face cuts under government plans

£300 million is being moved to new "shire" counties, the city council could be faced with cuts in its millions due to the new government plans. It's not the only city or region that faces cuts those that were red and voted blue are all being hit with the new announcement. Manchester could face cuts of over £22 million.

The city is holds the largest population outside of London, it's home to the headquarters of major companies such as National Express, Lloyds Banking Group, Land Rover, the governments new plans do not include additional funding for the city despite its plans for a cleaner carbon free city by 2050.
