STOCK MARKETS: Understanding the basics

The three main stock markets are situated in Europe, Paris Stock Exchange, United Kingdom, London Stock Exchange and USA, New York Stock Exchange. You may have also seen on news sites that cover the stock markets proving 24 hour live updates the Dow, FTSE 100. The green and red lines indicate how well stocks are trading that day, unless you have access to a weekly or monthly view.

The FTSE 100 consists of the biggest brands there are trading e.g. Apple or Nike, it's useful to watch when looking at investing in stocks in these firms, the market fluctuates subject to natural disasters, politics, war or banking regulation.
