Panama is located between South America and North America connecting the two continents, the city is vibrant, the small streets are full of places to dine, it’s extremely clean and the skyline is like no other. The Panama Canal is entry port it’s the biggest transportation route in the world connecting China to Europe, the canal is surrounded by rainforests, you can see the odd monkey if you’re lucky. On the other side of Panama in the Caribbean is mother nature’s most beautiful creations the San Blas Islands, home to the Kuna’s People, there are 378 islands in an area of 100 sqm, each island has eco-friendly accommodation made by the Kuna’s set on water with a sea breeze, some islands are no more than ¼ km wide, you can see all side’s! The islands cannot even be reached by the richest, the occasional super yachts must dock far from the island due to depth, at night baby sharks can be seen chasing fish and during the day you can swim with turtles and eat local fish cooked by the Kuna people. The Kuna’s speak native Spanish.
Swimming with sharks is common in Belize, just off the coast of San Pedro Island are under water sand dunes where nurse sharks, sea turtles and stingrays along with a world of other underwater sea creatures can be found. The local’s will happily push you in…but there happy to support you to swim with them casually too. Belize is also home to one of the wonders of the world, the blue lagoon. It’s part of the British colony but most people speak Spanish and it does attract the odd American tourists. Jet skiing down the coast of San Pedro is a dream and the people really do love to throw a party at Christmas time with beautiful Christmas lights and tree’s despite the warmth at night they glisten like it was Lapland.
